Turtle Thermoregulation: Finding the Turtle’s Comfort Zone

In this lesson, students learn about  thermoregulation and how reptiles like turtles rely on external sources to maintain their body temperature. After experimenting with different temperatures, the students design and build a miniature habitat for the turtle that maintains a desired temperature range.

This lesson can be adapted for other grades and reptiles.
