“Bugzy’s Plymouth Plantation! Our 5th grade class wrote letters to Bugzy informing him of what life was like in the 1620s. They were so excited about this assignment! They wanted to hang their letters in his habitat and decorate with traditional pilgrim hats! I have to say Bugzy really was a great sport! Writing is an area that all students have been struggling with since the pandemic. By bringing Bugzy into this activity, the kids were motivated because it was fun! Bugzy earned himself a blueberry for his cooperation!”

“This is Cheesecake’s habitat! I teach 8th Grade ELA, and we have a big emphasis on Edgar Allan Poe and spooky stories. For October this year, I decorated Cheesecake’s tank with spooky decorations that he and the students loved. It fit right in with our lessons and even helped Cheesecake be the main character in writing our own spooky stories!”
