Important Update: Dogs in the Classroom Application Process
We are excited to continue offering the transformative experience of therapy dog visits through the Dogs in the Classroom program! To ensure we can meet the growing demand while maximizing the availability of handlers, we have updated our application process with a regional focus.
To increase the likelihood of matching applicants with therapy dog teams, at this time we are prioritizing requests in specific geographical areas where our partner organizations have the highest number of handlers available.

What This Means for Teachers
Applications:
While we are focusing on certain regions, we encourage teachers from all areas to sign up for our email list to receive updates about the application process. Updates will be sent as more spaces for matches become available. Please note that the fulfillment rate will be higher in the focus regions due to the availability of handlers.
Fulfillment:
Teachers in areas outside the focus regions may experience lower fulfillment rates. We encourage all teachers to apply, but please be aware that matching therapy dog teams in non-focus areas may take longer or may not be possible at this time.
We are committed to expanding access to therapy dog visits as much as possible. While availability may vary, your interest helps us understand the demand for therapy dogs and supports the growth of this impactful program.
