Thankful for My Class Pet Giveaway – Official Rules

  1. Eligibility: Open to current Pre-K through 12th grade teachers in the U.S. and Canada who have a classroom pet. Employees, board members, and immediate family of Pets in the Classroom (PITC) are not eligible.

  2. How to Enter:

    • Post a photo or video of your classroom pet on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter/X) with a short caption introducing your pet.

    • Tag @PetsInTheClassroom in your post and include the hashtag #ThankfulForMyClassPet

    • Complete the official entry form at https://petsintheclassroom.org/thankful-for-my-class-pet-giveaway/.

    • Only one entry per teacher will be accepted.

  3. Contest Period: Entries must be submitted by November 20, 2025 11:59pm EST .

  4. Prizes: 3 teachers will be randomly selected to win a $50 prepaid gift card accepted anywhere major credit cards are accepted. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  5. Winner Notification: Winners will be notified by email after the contest closes. PITC will never ask for credit card, bank information, or payment details. Winners must respond within [5] days to claim their prize or another winner may be selected.

  6. Use of Content: By entering, participants grant PITC the right to share their photo/video, pet’s name, and caption on PITC’s website, social media, and marketing materials.

  7. General Conditions: No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. PITC reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if technical issues or other circumstances compromise the fairness or integrity of the contest.
