Students will use design thinking and engineering principles to build a comfortable and functional carrier for their class pet. Through this project, they’ll explore animal needs, apply measurement and construction skills, and collaborate creatively to create a cozy haven for their furry (or feathered!) friend. This lesson can be easily adapted to any grade or pet. If you do not have a classroom pet, this can also be used with a stuffed animal.
